I am so honoured to join their team and work with so many fabulous designers from all over the world. I hope you will visit the blog and join in.
Today I am going to share a layout that was almost a year in the making - seriously a year! I took this photo of my dad looking out to sea on New Years Eve of 2012. He is an avid sailor and I know that I wanted to use the picture with a little captain card from October Afternoon.
So I make the little layers piece and put on top of the sunburst paper then I got stuck and it went into "The Pile" (you know what I am talking about, even if you have the tidiest scrap room in the world there is always a pile somewhere even if it's in a drawer or cupboard) and it was promptly forgotten about.
So when I was doing some hardcore cleaning I found this in the bottom of a box. Although I am ashamed to say I forgot about it, I am kind of glad I did because I could add in lots of pieces I didn't have before such as the wood veneers, mists and those fabulous Abroad thickers from SC.
This saying was perfect for the page title (although I have also heard it said as shepherds delight - but hey sheep, boats same thing???!!!)
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget that the first Life.Paper.Scrapbook. colour challenge will start tomorrow and we have a fabulous prize.
