Color Me Scrappy #40

Today I am sharing my last layout for the Color Me Scrappy Design Team, I have had such a great time on the team working with all the talented ladies but the term is over and I have a lot of commitments at the moment on so I made the decision to not renew for another term.

Today's challenge #40 and I really loved this vibrant colour palette, the twist was to use a black and white photo and a square/grid pattern.

I recently found a pack of B&W photo's I took in New York in 2002 and they have been gathering dust at the bottom of a box so I thought I should scrap them. This one of course is of Grand Central Station. I thought it was perfect because of the grid of windows behind the clock.
There is actually a bit of method to my madness with how busy this layout is, I wasn't sure where I was going and as I started to put it together I had all kinds of embellishments spread out and it reminded me how busy inside the station is so I thought I would try to reflect that.
And just so I don't get reprimanded for my grammar and spelling I am perfectly aware that it should be "Isn't it grand" but I thought this had a nice New York 1960's comedy movie ring to it!

It has been an awesome three months at Color Me Scrappy and I will miss working with the team so much. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

  1. I love what you did here! I rarely use a grid design, and I should definitely use it more. This is also a great way to use scraps.
    Lovely! thanks for sharing!
