Frosted Designs - Sketch + Things With Wings

It's time for another Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge and this week the challenge is to use the sketch below but to also include things with wings.

I started this layout a bit differently, usually I start with a photo and work from there but I knew that I wanted to use some embellishments from my Maggie Holmes Collection Pack and the papers so then I had to find a photo to fit.

Because of the vintage shabby chic of the collection I knew I wanted this page to be about something similar so I used this photo is of a recipe of my grandmother's. She was a bit vague with recipes and usually just wrote down the ingredients then just knew how she went about making things. I have a lot of her recipes and I used to cook with her when I was little (she died when I was 9 years old) so I kind of know how things are meant to be added and they are so precious that I haven't written the method on them. I know I should take the time to transcribe them with the directions but I never get around to it, which I think may have been the case with my grandmother too.
I really love how this page turned out, I think my grandmother would have loved it too because she adored pretty things and also she adored craft so if she was still around today I know that we would definitely be scrapping together.

So now you have seen my take make sure you head over to the Frosted Designs page and see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team. This weeks sponsor is Molossi who are offering a $30.00 chipboard pack.

  1. I adore this!! I have some of my Great-Grandmothers Recipes and I should make a page like this. She too never put the specifics...A smidge of sage, a bit of pepper...Thank goodness my mom knows them by heart and taught me young!! :)
