Love To Read

Oh wow I cannot believe how half the year has almost gone, I have been so busy I feel like I haven't had a chance to breathe. I am currently in the midst of editing the June issue of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. as well as working on finalising the exclusive Day To Day Project Kit for them (details are here) plus I am moving this week and I am sure I do not need to tell you what a nightmare that is especially around my scrap supplies it looks like a shop has exploded!

Today I wanted to share this layout I did that was inspired by Garden Girl Jill Sprouts Scrap Your Stash video from last week where she shares a layout using journalling cards. I really like the idea and I do have a tonne because I am *meant* to be doing PL but never seem to get around to it.
This layout is about my love of reading and there are two tags with hidden journalling sharing my thoughts on that and also some of my recent favourite books. I also included two quotes from a couple of my favourite books - Alice In Wonderland and The Great Gatsby.

I really enjoyed using the journal cards for layering and will definitely try this again in the future.
I read almost every night before I go to bed, sometimes I pour over books in a couple of nights, other times it takes me a while to get through. Last year I read 35 books. Generally I like historical fiction and thrillers. Here are a couple of my recent favourites if you are looking for something to read:

  6. Just a gentle reminder...you probably "pore" over a book, not "pour" over a book!
